Recent Grant Application for Guardian Outpost

As we embark on this journey of compassion and transformation, I am honored to present to you our grant  application for the Guardian Housing initiative. At Valor’s Voyage, we are deeply committed to serving  those in our community who are struggling to find sufficient support, hope, and basic housing needs. Our  mission is not merely to provide shelter, but to cultivate a transformative community that acknowledges  service, embraces vulnerabilities, and encourages resilience.

Since our inception in 2008, under the mantle of Iconnect Outreach Inc., we have tirelessly served  communities devastated by natural disasters, extending our hands to those in need with unwavering  dedication and commitment. Now, as we stand at the threshold of a new initiative, Guardian Housing, our  desire to provide hope and support to our multi-dimensional communities burns brighter than ever before.

Our vision for Guardian Housing is one of inclusivity, compassion, and empowerment. We aim to create  havens for our esteemed Guardians – Veterans, First Responders, and their families (with a focus on the  disabled) – where they can find not only shelter, but also a renewed sense of purpose and drive. Our  Guardian’s Outpost communities are more than just residences; they are beacons of resilience and  camaraderie, offering a supportive environment that fosters healing and growth.

As we set sail on this transformative journey, our initial focus is on securing funding and property within the  greater Houston area. We envision our first Guardian’s Outpost community, within 45 miles of a VA  hospital, as a testament to our commitment to those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. With  at least 14-20 homes and a community center, this community will provide a solid foundation for our long term Vision.

In the short-term, we aim to complete at least two Guardian’s Outpost communities, transcending state  lines and offering homes at little to no cost to our Guardians. And in the long-term, within the next 5-7  years, we aspire to initiate Guardian Outpost Communities in at least two states, including Texas, serving  as havens for our guardians and their families across the United States.
